Seed Phrase Security

Seed Phrase Security

Just like traditional RPC wallets, PAW Wallet utilizes a seed phrase for account creation and recovery. This approach ensures users can securely restore their wallets and access their funds from any compatible device. Key aspects of the seed phrase implementation in PAW Wallet include:

  • Seed Phrase Generation: During the wallet creation process, PAW Wallet generates a unique seed phrase, typically consisting of 12 randomly chosen words. This seed phrase serves as a master key to the user's wallet.
  •
  • Secure Backup and Recovery: Users are prompted to securely store their seed phrase in a safe location. In case of device loss or failure, the seed phrase can be used to recover the wallet and restore access to the digital assets.
  •
  • Mnemonic Code Standard: PAW Wallet follows the Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 39 (BIP-39) standard for seed phrases, ensuring compatibility with other BIP-39 compliant wallets and tools. This standard enhances interoperability and provides an additional layer of security
