Introduction to PAW Swap

To exchange your current tokens for others that you prefer, begin by selecting the tokens you currently possess within your wallet. Once you've made your selection, proceed to swap them for the tokens you desire. This functionality allows you to manage your portfolio more effectively, by enabling you to adjust your holdings according to your investment preferences and market conditions. Be sure to review your choices and any potential transaction fees involved before finalizing the swap to make informed decisions about your digital assets.

How Swap Fees Work

Initially, a user performs a swap through a Swap Router Program for example PAW/BNB. Upon this transaction, a swap fee is generated.

The fee is broken down into two main portions, each constituting 0.25% of the total. The first 0.25% is directed to the Treasury (60%) and the Developers (Dev) (40%). The second 0.25% is distributed among Pool Participants according to their pool share.

After the transaction, the user receives an amount  0.995%  of the tokens. The swap system operates on a total swap fee of 0.5%.

This is how pool share collectors handle shares:

Liquidity Pools are smart contracts that hold reserves of two tokens, allowing users to trade between them. By adding liquidity, you contribute to the pool and receive liquidity provider (LP) tokens representing your share. LP tokens can be redeemed for your portion of the pool's assets, along with a share of the trading fee. You can see your pool share percentage at the bottom of the page.

Using PAW Swap BETA

Step 1: Access the PAW Chain Swap

Open your in-app wallet browser and visit swap.pawchain.net.

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

Click the “Connect Wallet” button in the top right corner of the webpage.

  • Choose your preferred wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect, or others).
  • Follow the prompts to approve and connect your wallet to PAW Swap.

Step 3: Select the Token to Swap

  • In the first dropdown menu (labeled “From”), select the token you want to swap from your connected wallet. This can be any token you hold.

Step 4: Select the Token to Receive

  • In the second dropdown menu ( labeled “To”), select the token you want to receive. PAW Swap supports multiple tokens, so select the desired one from the list.

Step 5: Enter the Amount

  • In the “Amount” field, input how much of the token you want to swap. The system will show you the equivalent value of the token you’ll receive based on current rates.

Step 6: Review Transaction Details

  • The interface will display important information such as the exchange rate, transaction fee, and minimum received. Make sure to review this carefully.

Step 7: Approve the Token (First-Time Only)

  • If it’s your first time swapping a particular token, you’ll need to click the “Approve” button. This step grants the swap contract permission to access the token in your wallet. Confirm the approval in your wallet.

Step 8: Confirm the Swap

  • Once approved, click “Swap” to proceed with the transaction.
A pop-up will appear in your wallet asking for confirmation of the swap. Confirm it, and the transaction will be processed on-chain.

Step 9: Wait for Transaction Confirmation

  • The swap may take a few seconds to a minute, depending on network congestion. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a notification both on the site and in your wallet.

Step 10: Check Your Wallet

  • After the swap is complete, check your wallet to ensure that the tokens have been received.

Optional Step: Add Tokens to Wallet

After swapping, if you cannot see the new token in your wallet, you may need to manually add it as a custom token. To do this, find the token’s contract address using the PawChain scanner, and then add it to your wallet under the “Custom Token” section. This will allow you to view the balance of your newly acquired tokens.

-In PAW Scanner, click on Tokens in the top right

-Click on the token you wish to add

-Click on Program and Contract

-Scroll through the different contracts until you find the one you wish to add to your wallet.

-In Metamask, click on Tokens and scroll down and click on +Import tokens

-Click on Custom Token

-Paste the ETH address that you copied from the PAW Scanner into the Custom Token search bar

-It will automatically enter the name of the token for that CA

-Click Next and your token will now be added to your wallet for you to see.
